The house Halstead on Lansell Road was constructed in 1916 for Frances Clements in an Arts & Crafts style with a parapeted roof, projecting eave, and paired columns that reveal a South Asian/Dutch Colonial influence rarely found in Melbourne. Sits on 3/4 of an acre, and comes with rear lane access to a 4-car garage. It’s floor plan is well laid out and, although the rusticated stucco exterior is historically accurate, it makes the home look the creation of the 1970s and not 1910s (the rear extension likely was a late-20th C addition).
